Fix Error Setting Write Mode Page on UltraISO
UltraISO is an ISO CD/DVD image file creating, editing, converting tool and a bootable CD/DVD maker. It can directly edit the CD/DVD image file and extract files and folders from it, as well as directly make ISO files from your CD/DVD-ROM or hard disk.
If you’re trying to burn a CD or DVD using UltraISO on Windows platform, you may receive the error message “Error Setting Write Mode Page on UltraISO” as the figure below.
This is an known compatibility issue with AHCI mode. To fix this error message, you have to install the AHCI driver based on your chipset. You can check whether you are using Intel or AMD chipset in Device Manager -> IDE/ATA Controller -> AHCI controller.
- For Intel chipsets, download and install the latest Intel(R) Matrix Storage Manager Driver. Intel Download Center
- For AMD chipsets, download and install the latest AMD Chipset Driver which include AMD AHCI Driver. AMD Chipset Drivers
Note: Be sure to select correct operating system before download.
Once you installed the AHCI driver, if you have installed the correct one, you should be able to burn the CD or DVD now.
Note: If you don’t want to install additional driver, you could try ImgBurn which is a good tool for burning CD/DVD.
The amd link is for GPU drivers only. AMD does not provide AHCI drivers from that website.
I think there is easier way. Right click on My Computer, select Properties -> Device Manager. Go to IDE ATA controllers -> AMD SATA Controller (or in some cases in the Storage controllers section). Right click on this device, select Update Driver Software. Browse my computer for driver software. Then select “Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer”, and then Windows should show the “Standard AHCI controller” driver also as an option. Select and install the “Standard AHCI controller” driver. Restart your computer. Now you should be able to burn the CD or DVD.
It works, the solution for AMD. Thanks mate !
